Every once in awhile while searching for mail in Airmail on iOS and OSX I never could find older emails. I found this very frustrating and would often switch to the Gmail client to search for older emails…until today. I happened upon a Gmail setting under Forwarding and Pop/IMAP on folder size limits. It was limiting IMAP folder syncing to 1,000 emails. In short, it was only syncing a total of 1,000 emails to my iOS and Mac email app. When I switched this to do not limit the number of messages in an IMAP folder (default) it started syncing all of my email. I see that this is supposed to be the default but not sure why it was turned off. Switching this I can now sync all my email.
